Biography
A staunchly built utility all-rounder, Ramandeep Singh hails from Chandigarh and is known for his power game with the bat and excellence in the field. Primarily a middle-order basher, Ramandeep developed his skills with the ball to become a highly sought after commodity in T20 cricket - a pace bowling all-rounder. Playing for Punjab, Ramandeep picked up a hat-trick in the 2022 Vijay Hazare Trophy and Ambati Rayudu was one of his victims. After some impressive performances at the domestic level, he was invited to Mumbai Indians' trials and was eventually bought by them for INR 20 lakh in 2022. Opportunities, however, were slim and 2024 saw him move to KKR for the same price. That's where his stocks rose quite sharply. Ramandeep played all 14 games and made vital contributions in KKR's title winning year. He received an India A call-up later in the year for the Emerging Men's Asia Cup and more impressive performances there meant he received a maiden India call-up for a T20I series against South Africa.
