Biography

Easy to spot in a team gathering, the towering fast bowler from Toowoomba saw a meteoric rise to the top after an impressive Shield debut in which he took 4 wickets in his first outing, including that of the Big Show Glenn Maxwell. He had already been picked for Queensland in the futures league after being scouted, and was handed a rookie contract by the Brisbane Heat as well. He made his 50-over debut in the JLT cup and picked up the sole wicket of Ben Cutting while playing for the Cricket Australia XI.

A potential pace spearhead in the making, he is all set to make his Big Bash debut in the 2017/18 season. With the ability to move the ball laterally off the seam, he could prove to be almost unplayable with the bounce he generates on the hard Australian pitches. His penchant for bowling yorkers at the death and his variations make him an asset in T20 cricket. His go-to delivery is his signature unplayable length ball which bounces steeply from a length and hits the label of the bat. Along with Steketee, Gannon and Lalor, he is a welcome addition to the Heat's arsenal of fast bowlers.
