Biography
Mohammad Hussain Talat is a left-handed batsman from Lahore who has had an amazing start to his domestic career. During his first four List A games, he notched up 272 runs at an average of 90.66 with a high score of 141. At the age of 16, he was offered a contract by Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) in the Ramadan T20 cup in Karachi.
His domestic career touched greater heights when he essayed scores of 67, 52, 12 and 141* during President's Cup in Pakistan. After a dream start to his domestic career, he has been a part of Pakistan U - 19 team during the 2013-14 season. He also bowls military-medium-pace bowling and is keen to emerge as an all-rounder for Pakistan in the near future. Talat is yet another talent in the making who is waiting for his turn to represent his nation.
Initially, it was Talat's batting that fetched him call ups from a young age leading up to First-class level. However, he had never ignored his utility seam-up ability and hence as the years have gone by, he has managed to add further balance to the side like all-rounders generally tend to do. It's in red-ball cricket that he has managed to contribute with both bat and ball while in the shorter forms, he is mostly a batsman who can chip in occasionally. If he can keep pegging away in the domestic circuit consistently, it shouldn't be long before he features in the national side. The talent is there for all to see, it's the consistency that has to come in a big way.
