Biography
Fabian Allen first made headlines during the 2017 edition of the Caribbean Premier league with a screamer of a catch at deep point, one that went viral on YouTube. Having already started his career on a positive note - Allen scored three consecutive half centuries after making his first-class debut for Jamaica during the 2016-17 season.
Allen followed it up with two hundreds in the next season, including a career-best 169* against Trinidad and Tobago, showing the range of shots and potential that has earmarked him as a special talent, right from 2014 - when he featured in the West Indies U-19 World Cup squad. Allen was drafted in by St. Lucia Stars for the 2017 Caribbean Premier league and was then selected to represent Cricket West Indies 'B' in the newly introduced Global T20 league, Canada.
A gem of a find for Caribbean cricket, Allen can be one for the future if his talent is honed and utilized properly, as opposed to the other talents of late in the islands. One can expect big things out of the multidimensional all-rounder if he continues to grow at the rate that he is at the moment.
