Biography
The only player from the Andhra Pradesh Ranji team to make the cut for IPL 2018, Ricky Bhui was a part of two under-19 World Cup squads. He featured in the 2014 and 2016 editions and his poor performances in both led to him not being a regular in either of the tourneys.
But then he topped the batting averages for Andhra in the 2015-16 season and had a watershed season in 2017-18 where he racked up more than 500 runs at an average of more than 60. This caught the eyeballs of the Sunrisers team and they picked him up for 20 lakhs INR.
Along with former India under-19 player - Hanuma Vihari, Bhui forms a strong core for Andhra who have been improving leaps and bounds at the Ranji Level. If given a chance, Ricky will try to make a mark in IPL XI.
