Biography

Born in Khulna, Nurul Hasan is a right-handed wicketkeeper batsman. He was part of the Under-19 World Cup team which won the Plate championship in 2010. The following year, he debuted for Dhaka division in October. He has been rated very highly for his keeping skills in the domestic arena. In the 2013-14 season, his first-class average was close to 82 aggregating 489 runs.

After a decent tournament for Sylhet Super Stars in the 2015 edition of the Bangladesh Premier League, Nurul was selected for the T20I series against Zimbabwe in January 2016. He played a late cameo and scored 30 off just 17 deliveries in the third game of his debut series, but that innings couldn't stop Zimbabwe from beating Bangladesh. Nurul made his ODI debut in December 2016 against New Zealand following a hamstring injury to Mushfiqur Rahim. Similarly later on that tour injury to Rahim allowed Nurul to play his first Test for Bangladesh in Christchurch.
