An aspiring all-rounder, who was a part of the victorious 2012 World Cup winning India team, Baba Aparajith, has somehow not translated his potential into performance at the highest level for Tamil Nadu, despite being a consistent presence in the playing eleven.
Aparajith was expected to fill in the gap created by the absence of Murali Vijay - owning to national duties and the exit of Subramanium Badrinath, but the talent hasn't been translated into runs. Aparajith has had his moments - making his first career double-hundred, for South Zone, during the 2013 Duleep Trophy.
Hailing from the reputed St. Bede's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Aparajith is a regular feature in various India 'A' teams as well as various Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises.
