Attacking opening batsman, Qamraan is an upcoming star from the valley of Jammu and Kashmir. He's only the third cricketer from the state to hog the limelight after Parveez Rasool and Manzoor Dar. Qamraan has taken rapid strides in a short span of time and was picked for the U-19 Quadrangular Trophy involving India A, India B, Afghanistan U-19 and Nepal U-19, courtesy of his run-making spree in the U16s and U19s for his state.
In his debut game, Qamraan piloted the ship playing for India B at No. 5 and ensured his team romped home with a stubborn 51, curbing his attacking instincts. In the next match, he smashed a blazing 89 runs and got his team over the line against Afghanistan U-19s.
The tall lad made it into the 30-man probables for the India U-19s but failed to make thae cut in the 15-man squad. With age by his side, he's certain to go places.
