Michael- Kyle Pepper is a promising 20-year-old wicket-keeper batsman who made his first-class debut against Somerset. In that match, Pepper played purely as a batsman and came out to bat at the vital number four spot, ahead of the Essex stalwarts like Ravi Bopara and Ryan ten Doeschate.
Pepper got the opportunity to play against the number one Test side, India in a tour match. He came in at the number 3 spot and showed immaculate composure against the likes of Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma to score a fifty.
