The Sixers remain unbeaten and solidify their position at the top of the table. That’s it from us tonight, take care and goodbye.
Ben Dwarshius | Player of the Match: It was nice to win the toss and bowl, the conditions suited that. There was a bit of seam movement early. Was nice to extract a few wickets early and keep the runs down. We identified the Surge as an area we can improve on. You need to be very clear about your plans at the top of the mark, sometimes it doesn’t work but you need to train hard. We feel really confident when anyone’s got the ball in hand, nice to see the wickets being shared around. Silk took some spectacular catches tonight, knowing you’ve got that backup in the field helps a lot. Hopefully we meet them again in the final and get our revenge there. Nice to get a couple more points and getting a step closer to that.
21:23 Local Time, 11:23 GMT, 16:53 IST: A pretty convincing win for the Sixers here. The Heat are pretty strong at home but the Sixers have managed to overcome them tonight. Earlier, led by Dwarshius’ 4-fer, the Sixers restricted the home side to just 138. The pitch seemed to ease up a touch and batted seemed to get easier under lights when they got back out there. Although they lost Vince early, the Sixers seized the momentum and the runs flowed quite easily. Patterson led the initial charge while Philippe and Henriques continued to sustain the pressure. The Heat put Phillippe down early and it proved to be detrimental. He made the most of his opportunity and ended up unbeaten on 66. The Heat just didn’t have enough runs to play with and the Sixers cruised home.
