That's it from us today but the CPL action continues. Do join us tomorrow. Take care and goodbye.
Keiron Pollard: Was a very good game of cricket from both sides, they did well to get 180, we probably gave away 20 runs too many. My main thing is fielding, it’s unacceptable for the young guys and the senior guys as well. You can be outskilled with bat and ball but fielding is something we should really focus on. As times go along, we’ll try to get better. From an injury perspective, hopefully we can get some guys fit and back. Looking forward to the next game, being able to play cricket all around the Caribbean and enjoy is something I’m looking forward to now. Shoutout to the young man (Parris) particularly for the way he batted.
Faf du Plessis: Was a good game of cricket, quality powerplays. Would’ve taken 190. We went for 70 in the powerplay but unbelievable fightback to stay in the contest. We probably went for too many sixes. St. Kitts is probably the most challenging venue with dark skies and bright lights but I think we took some great catches. Did a lot of things right. Small margins against big teams is what it comes down to at the end of the day. Proud of the guys but we came up against a good team. We did a lot of good things for 60-70% of the game and that’s what you look at. When you play good cricket you can walk off the field with your chin up.
Kieron Pollard | Player or the Match: For someone who has played for the WI and for St. Lucia for a period of time, wanted to give something to the crowd. We got off to a great start, young Shaq (Parris) came in and showed his talent. He set the tempo. We lost some wickets in the middle but that’s why it’s a team sport and we came in and played our part later. If it’s my role to finish games, that’s what I’ll do. Now that I’ve played a lot of cricket around the world, it’s my opportunity to give opportunities and play around others till I call it quits.
22:40 Local Time, 02:40 GMT, 08:10 IST: Tough loss for the home side but they fought really well. They leaked runs in the powerplay but came back really well - led by Noor and Descarte
