That victory keeps Texas Super Kings in second place but they have opened up a 3-point game between them and the teams below. MI New York are still third and have three games left to make it to to the playoffs. That's all from this game. Until next time, goodbye and stay safe..
Faf du Plessis | TSK captain: I thought it was a good pitch. Having played a couple of games here, it was probably one of the better ones. I thought if you bowl into the wicket then you can slow the scoring down. Just the all round capabilities (of Stoinis), last year we had batters who couldn't bowl, he gives you 4 overs with the ball. Zia with the new ball is striking for us and getting big wickets. It is no easy task bowling to someone like Nicky P and credit to him. Both of them (Zia and Mohsin) were brilliant. Great electricity and we are grateful (to the support), hopefully we keep seeing them.
Kieron Pollard | MINY captain: It was not a good start but the bowlers got us back in the second half of the innings. We had lost 3 wickets in the powerplay, we (himself and Monank) tried to get out of the powerplay without losing anymore wickets and just thought of knocking it around, but we could not get going. There are positives with the way the lower order batted especially how Monank batted. We are going to keep trying and learning, try to arrest that situation (losing early wickets).
Rashid Khan | Player of the Match: It would have been great to be on the winning side. The plan was to have a positive mindset and back my skill. It is more of the belief I have and the team management as well.. for believing I can bat at number 7. I have to keep backing myself and do the basics right. It does help as I have faced Naveen in the nets, DJ (Bravo) too during the WC but you still have to play good shots to score against them.
Marcus Stoinis: There's definitely things I could have done better. But we got away with the win. Just execution with the ball and how to go about with the bat in that period (on what he can do better). I have an idea on how many balls I would be facing and I prepare accordingly. It is good to have a new ball that swings and happy to get a couple of wickets in the powerplay. It is a big win for us. We have four days off now to recuperate.
23:14 Local Time, 04:14 GMT, 09:44 IST: This should have been a comfortable victory for TSK but they were made to sweat by Rashid and Monank. The chase was going nowhere as MINY lost 3 wickets inside the powerplay and Pollard too didn't last long.
