Preview

After a convincing seven-wicket win to leapfrog from bottom of the pile to top of the points table, Texas Super Kings will be looking to sustain that winning momentum as they take on MI New York in back to back encounters over the weekend. First up, is the away fixture in Morrisville, albeit threatened by rain forecast.

The win against San Francisco Unicorns was set up by Zia-ul-Haq and Dwayne Bravo, picked up two apiece to trigger a collapse before legspinner Mohammad Mohsin mopped up the lower order with impressive figures of 4/13. For a second successive game, the top order fired in unison as TSK's top-three all chipped in aggressive cameos in 30s to ensure the 128-run chase took less than 13 runs.

Rain had robbed MINY a shot at recovery in their previous fixture, against Washington Freedom who won by 4 runs on DLS method after their chase was interrupted by lightning and inclement weather.

While Nicholas Pooran played a good hand of 44 in 30 balls, regular wickets at other end meant the team could only muster 154/9 in their 20. The lower-order cameos, starring Rashid Khan and anrich Nortje, came to their rescue but New York would want its top-order to level up quickly.

When: Friday, July 12 at 3 PM Local | 12:30 AM IST (July 13)

Where: Church Street Park, Morrisville

What to expect: Rain interruptions are likely, if not a washout entirely. The forecast predicts a 90% chance of rain.
