"Today's attendance is between 14500-15000 - the highest in the three T20Is so far," informs our correspondent Purnima Malhotra. A lovely sight in Chepauk as both teams join together for the photographs. The support staff join in as well. And Jemimah doing Jemimah things. Finding a corner to get a selfie of all the players behind the winners hoarding. That is that for South Africa's tour of India, then. Do remember to check this space for all the latest in cricket. Until next time, cheers and goodbye!!
Harmanpreet Kaur | Indian skipper: We spoke about the things we need to improve and I'm proud of the way we played today. Going forward, we might have situations similar to this where we have to go hard and express ourselves. We were positive today and played as a team. Whoever got the opportunity, they did really well. Self belief was there and now with Asia Cup round the corner, we want to go there and do really well. He (speaking about the head coach Amol Mazumdar) is really cool and keeps things really simple, the staff is very positive and this is the best staff I have ever worked with. As a team we want to keep doing the right things and keep winning.
Laura Wolvaardt | South African skipper: Not the way we want to end the series, disappointing loss. Overall, a lot of learnings. The first two games, we had a lot of positives. We should have taken a little bit more time upfront today.
Pooja Vastrakar | Player of the Match and Player of the Series: Whatever we practiced in the nets, we tried to execute that. Wanted to bowl wicket-to-wicket and I try to keep things simple. Getting the new ball is a great opportunity and I also enjoyed the responsibility. The plan was to stick to our strengths and it worked out well as far as the bowlers are concerned.
Radha Yadav: Had a lot of fun. They were playing some really good cricket in the first two games so we were disappointed as a bowling group about how we played. We went back and had a discussion about how we could go about things and we did well today. We weren’t up to the mark in the field and I wasn’t happy with how I placed my field. We worked on that and we got the results. Everyone was working hard but the only thing missing was our ability to take quick decisions. Runs are always going to be scored in T20 cricket, it’s about knowing what to do on the next ball. We have confidence, believe in hard work. We’re working hard as a team, we’ll continue to do so and the results will follow. Not thinking too much about the results. We’ve spoken about doing the little things right. Everyone is putting in a lot of effort. I think we’ll achieve something big moving forward.
21:21 local, 15:51 GMT: The series ends 1-1.
