The Bangladesh skipper lifts the Trophy. They deserve to win this series but would be a little concerned given how close the previous two games were against a side which hasn't qualified for the WC. But Zimbabwe have given a good account of themselves in the last couple of games. Some consistency from their batters and Zimbabwe would regularly be able to surprise bigger teams. Bangladesh skipper said there are a few areas they can improve on and that's exactly what they would look to do. But for now, we will look to escape! Thanks for staying glued and see you soon next time.
Shanto: The way we played this series, we can improve on a lot of areas. We didn't start well. There was an oppurtunity for us. We have prepared well for the WC. Another three games for us to prepare.
Taskin Ahmed, Player of the Series. He isn't there to collect his award. Shanto collects the award.
Brian Bennett, Player of the Match: Very good. I am happy to go back with a victory. We have been backed by the skipper and the coaching staff. We will look to keep going.
Raza: It is nice to finish with a win. We could have won one or two more games. Very pleased with how youngsters have played in this series. It is nice to contribute. The only jigsaw puzzle which was missing me contributing to the side. The onus was on me today. A lot of positives. I can hold my head high. We have a future with this squad. These young guns will take Zimbabwe cricket forward.
13:10 Local Time, 07:10 GMT, 12:40 IST: Bangladesh have a lot of food for thought as the series is over now. This defeat can't be just brushed under the carpet as the visitors ran the hosts close in the previous two games and finally managed to take them over line today. 158 looked a little above par but Bennett and Raza had other plans. Brian started off on a positive note. Raza took his time and then once Brian got out, took the charge and managed to finish it off by sriking a few sixes and fours. Huge win indeed for a struggling Zimbabwe side. The Bangladesh bowlers struggled escpecially the likes of Rishad and Saifuddin. This win should pave the way for a template that the visitors would want to follow in times to come.
