The Hundred Trophy is presented to Heather Knight who hoists it high above her head and then it is the turn of Deepti Sharma to do the same. Joyous celebrations from the home side. On that note we bring down the curtains on another edition of the Women's Hundred. Hope you enjoyed it, as much as we did in bringing it to you. The Men's final will start pretty soon. Do hop tabs to catch that. Till then it's goodbye from all of us here.
Heather Knight | Spirit captain: Not the best watch to be honest, it was nervy chasing but Deepti held her nerves. Everyone has played their roles well. I think we recruited really well, picking Meg and Georgia. Absolutely stoked with Deepti, she has been brilliant with both bat and ball. Eva Gray was good with the ball as well. So much goes into the tournament, thankful to the staff, it takes a lot of effort in franchise cricket. We had a little tricky period in the middle with some losses, we wanted to be aggressive and calm, we did that towards the backend, yesterday and today. Been a scrappy game today but happy to win it. Credit to the Fire as well, they were really good.
Georgia Redmayne | Match Hero: I’m not sure anything is going to top that feeling, watching Deepti hit that six. Amazing feeling, everyone played their part today, the bowlers were brilliant especially in the middle phase. They bowled really well too, especially Ismail, it was pretty nerve-wracking but we did it. I think we gathered here before the tournament started and talked what our aims were. We wanted to be the first women’s side to reach the final in front of our home crowd at Lord's and win the trophy and we did that.
Eva Gray: It was an up and down tournament for us, they talk about peaking at the right time and we did just that. We were confident going into the game yesterday and today. We were clear about our plans and we executed them well.
Danny Gibson: Absolutely buzzing, nerve-wracking but Dipti smashed it. I actually disappointed with my bowling, gave away a few runs. I wanted to stand till, see ball and hit ball, play simple cricket and see where it takes me.
17:05 Local Time, 16:05 GMT, 21:35 IST: Two Hundred games in a row, we have witnessed thrillers. Last night it was the men's now it is the women.
