Shahrukh Khan | Lyca captain: That is the plan when we sat at the auctions, we needed characters who are calm in every situation. Our target is for three years and not just one year, we want to achieve a lot of things till 2025. Lot of people said why not X over X but this is how we wanted the team. It feels great to win two in two but our target is 2025. It is really important as a player to be backed and that is the captain's job. Once you have picked somebody it makes no sense to drop them over 2-3 games. I have always been bowling in the age categories, I had a slight shoulder niggle and my bowling faded, but I have started bowling again. At the auctions, the whole responsibility was given to me and they trusted me with closed eyes. It (the win) is not because of what I did but because of what the boys did.
KB Arun Karthik | Nellai captain: We could have done everything better tonight. Sometimes back to back games is hard and the boys did not recover for tonight's game. I don't want to give any excuses, Sandeep Warrier gave us a good start but hats off to Lyca. Mukilesh played well and my hometown boy Atheeq came and played well in the final. Lot of credit goes to Shahrukh who led the side superbly. The 5 sixes that Rithik Easwaran hit in one over was the highlight for me personally and also the 100 by Ajitesh against a strong Lyca side. There are lots of moments but I will pick these two. We don't have much experience but I keep telling them that you are the future superstars. I dedicate this runners-up trophy to V.B. Chandrasekhar, this is his team, had we won tonight would have been great but he would be watching from up above and would have said well done da kanna.
Ajitesh Guruswamy | Player of the Series: It was a good tournament for me. We should have fielded well. We didn't get partnerships and kept losing wickets. In the pre season preparation I just wanted to back my strengths and work on my weaknesses. I worked on range hitting but certain things came naturally. Team atmosphere was very good and we gel really well as a team, credit to KB (Arun Karthik). Hats off to the boys, we did really well. Just one bad game and we will come back stronger.

Ganeshan Vaheesan | Lyca support staff: Very happy. Millions and millions of thanks to the team on behalf of the owner, his support was great right from the start. Credit to Shahrukh for picking the team, we left the job to him and he picked the team, we were down sometimes but he never gave up. The care was so much from the owner that we are lucky to have been playing for Lyca Kovai Kings. There are so many moments in the tournament but whenever we wanted something, the captain delivered. We are like a family and the family has won.
Hareish J | Lyca coach: One thing is we always believed in the process rather than in wins. Every match we took it match by match and that was the secret. Shahrukh was a big calming factor and he led the side well. Last year I was an assistant coach and shared a good relationship with Shahrukh. He took all the calls, batting order and all we discussed and did it. The challenge was to give players specific roles. There was a big void after Sai Sudharsan left but we motivated Sachin and he filled that void. Today Atheeq did well. The owners gave us all the liberty which helped us to make decisions.
Mohammed: Nellai were batting well, so we specifically planned for their batters. We also discussed who should bowl from which end because of the wind factor. I had no fear or pressure playing under Shahrukh. I got smashed against Nellai earlier in the tournament, but he motivated me and said I can perform well in the coming games. We didn't have the pressure of the final inside the dressing room today, so the credit has to go to Shahrukh for that atmosphere.
Manimaran Siddharth: I was visualizing 2-3 days for that ball (Ajitesh dismissal). When the execution happened perfectly, I was very happy. I worked on my bowling. I have to credit my personal coach because he was always there with me whenever I went for practice. Shahrukh led the team very well, he backed everyone. Support staff worked really hard and this victory is for them.
Suresh Kumar: I had a lot of nerves going in, but wickets falling actually calmed me down. Fantastic bowler (Jhatavedh), he gives what the captain needs. Shahrukh ensures we maintain that baseline (mentally). When we are really excited he calms us down and when we are down he picks us to maintain that base because that is very important for longevity.
Ram Arvindh: It is a good feeling to win the tournament. We followed the process and are going to enjoy the win. That is the by-product of sticking to the process, we have one won but there are two more left. The tournament started rough but with the backing of the team I was able to deliver. That will happen in 10 mins or something when we lift the trophy (best moment in the season).
Atheeq Ur Rahman: Feel really happy, this is my first year and reached the final of TNPL. The gameplan was to go and play normally, I wanted to take charge from one end as Mukilesh was playing well, and was trying to help him. The captain told me to go out and enjoy it out there. My favorite shot is the one over extra-cover. The team management supported us a lot and the players followed the process the whole season and the result is there for everyone to see tonight.

Jhatavedh Subramanyan | Player of the Match: I am super happy. The management keep telling this is a process, yes we won but we have a long way to go. I have been working on my pace, tried to give more revs and rotation on the ball. My role in the team was to take wickets and that's what I did. I want to thank the management for backing me. I don't want to go too far ahead and let's see what happens. Thanks to Hareish sir as well, he has backed me right through the tournament. We can't control the results but we can control whatever is in our hands.
