Smith, Player of the Match: You need luck sometimes. I got into a nice groove, the wicket played nicely. Patterson played an anchor's role, it was a nice partnership with him. I have been able to play both sides of the wicket. I have had three knocks on my knee, it's a bit sore over the last few days. Great atmosphere here. Nice to play on these smaller grounds as you feel the crowd is very close and right next to you.

Steve Smith stole the show tonight as his century helped the Sixers post a mammoth total of 203//5. There were some handy contributions from Patterson and Silk for the Sixers as well. In reply, the Strikers lost an early wicket in the form of Head, but Matt Short and Alex Carey had a decent partnership for the second wicket. However, they couldn't match up to what Smith did earlier in the day. The bowlers kept taking wickets at regular intervals, and the Strikers eventually fell short of the target by 59 runs.
