22:31 Local Time, 11:31 GMT, 17:01 IST: A terrific effort from Scorchers on a surface that clearly suited the hosts, but they needed more cameos around Eskinazi's unbeaten 54-ball 66. On a two-paced pitch, the Scorchers lost early wickets, were rescued by Eskinazi and Turner, who added 45 for the 4th wicket, Nick Hobson then played a blinder, but his dismissal in the 17th over put the hosts firmly on top. The pacers used their variations and Dan Christian killed the chase with a 2-wicket 19th over. Ben Dwarshius's six off the last ball of Sixers' batting effort being the difference between the two teams in the end. Three wickets for the super impressive Sean Abbott - the Player of the Match, two each for Kerr and Christian, who bowled the final couple of overs. 'We had a week's rest, knew we needed to bowl our cutters and change the pace on the ball,' says Abbott, in the post-mach interview. This win takes Sixers to within a point off Scorchers at the top of the table. These two might meet once again in the Qualifier, if things stay this way. That ends today's double header. Hayden Kerr to Payne, 2 runs, Kerr has sealed it for the sixers, just need a legal ball now - full and at the stumps, Payne doesn't have enough power on the lofted drive to beat long-on, comes back for the second

Hayden Kerr to Eskinazi, leg byes, 1 run, appeal for LBW and they're reviewing, this was very full and straight? Was the angle taking it past the off-stump? No bat and we're onto ball-tracking: Impact is umpire's call and it's going past the off-stump - NOT OUT stays and they've taken a leg-bye, that'll put Payne on strike
