The LSG players are in a team huddle with Pant doing all the talking.
Shardul Thakur: As a team, we are focussing on process and that's what we talk about each and every day and results will take care of itself. We don't want to spread that mentality where individual performances are necessary. Yes, an individual performing is always blissful to watch but at the end of the day, those performances should be a contribution towards the team's results. It's just my passion about the game and what motivated me as a kid also, I made a promise to myself that I want to play this game of sport for the longest years and that's what keeps me going. Each and every day, it's a learning process, I take something or the other out of the game and try to apply it in the next game whenever I am playing. I keep trusting my processes and my hard work that I do off the field. (Home conditions) there's so much speculation about the pitches being prepared here. Home team are literally not able to dictate what kind of pitches we want to play on. But, yes, we know the ground dimensions, we know how the pitch behaves. We are expecting everyone to give their best shot at it and hopefully take the game on from there. (On Pant) He's in a good state of mind, he's coming from the Champions Trophy win in Dubai and straightaway coming here, he was willing to help all the players, share his experiences whatever he's had with Indian team and also with his previous franchisee. We know how intense he is whenever he steps onto the field. He's trying to reflect his intensity on his game performances also. Unfortunately, he didn't have a big performance but we are hopeful that today he has that big inning and settles down in the team.
