There was a dance show in the break to entertain the crowd. But that is done and we are back to resume action. The players have made their way out to the middle.
Pace vs spin in this innings Pace: 4/80 from 9 overs (ER: 8.89) Spin: 5/70 from 11 overs (ER: 6.36)
Khaleel Ahmed: I felt good (bowling in the powerplay) because I like to swing the ball and that's my strength. If I bowl three overs I think I get it on the basis of my strengths. At the start I was looking for swing, but it wasn't doing much. Then in the middle overs Noor, Jaddu, Ashwin did well. I feel this (total) should be chased down.
21:12 Local Time, 15:42 GMT: It was always going to be a trial against spin at the Chepauk and the Mumbai Indians batters have failed to cope with Chennai's spin trio especially Noor Ahmad. Losing three wickets in the powerplay didn't help either as Rohit fell in the first over, Rickelton didn't last long and so did Will Jacks. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma steadied the innings with a 51-run partnership but that's when Noor's magic started. He deceived SKY with a googly and then accounted for Minz and Tilak in the same over. The Mumbai Indians innings was going nowhere as Noor recorded figures of 4/18. But a late cameo from Deepak Chahar has taken the total past 150 and their bowlers have something to defend. We'll be back shortly with the chase..
