Pitch Report: Dew might well be a factor, especially with the later start. The temperature is around 28 degrees celsius. 79m straight boundary and the square boundaries are 70m each. The ball might dart around when the ball is new and as the innings progresses, it will get easier for batting, reckon Ian Smith and Rohan Gavaskar.

18:00 Local Time, 14:00 GMT, 19:30 IST: The ILT20 is set to kickstart with razzmatazz as last season’s finalists MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals are set to lock horns at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The defending champions, MI Emirates, were dominant last season. Dubai Capitals also impressed last season but failed at the final hurdle after having conceded a score north of 200 and then crumbled under pressure. With Nicholas Pooran leading MI from the front and the likes of Alzarri Joseph, Romario Shepherd, Muhammad Waseem and Fazalhaq Farooqi in the thick of things, they are strong contenders for the title once again. As far as the Capitals are concerned, they will be led by Sikandar Raza until their regular skipper, David Warner (taking part in the BBL currently) returns. The likes of Shai Hope, Rovman Powell and Dasun Shanaka give a strong makeup to the Capital’s side. Both teams have a good mix of experience and youth. Should be a cracker! Stay tuned as there’s a grand ceremony lined up and it will be followed by the toss and team lineups...
