Imran Tahir: It is a very good surface, Markram did very well to stay till the end. We didn’t bowl badly. Lutho has been our best bowler but this is a part of the game. I think 200 was about par on this surface, so 180 odd is good. There wasn’t much spin so we were just trying to hit the good length. We are very pleased.
19:11 Local Time, 17:11 GMT, 22:41 IST: This is a pitch of two halves. It comes on so nicely when there's pace on the ball and as Lutho Sipamla found to his does, it's very easy to hit through the line. But it all changes when the batters are up against spin - there's grip, there's turn and there's some bounce, making stroke-making hazardous. Did the Super Kings read the pitch well or was it simply a case of being forced to play three spinners with all the injuries in the camp? You usually don't play too many spinners at the Highveld, but they were simply outstanding tonight. 12 overs, 69 runs and 4 wickets as compared to 8 overs of pace which cost a whopping 109 runs. SEC just have one spinner tonight and Aiden Markram might probably need to bowl himself. But it was his innings which has given his team a fighting total - he was involved in two vital stands and finished with a 40-ball 62*. David Bedingham, Tristan Stubbs and Marco Janson all made 20+ scores, but it'll be the Joburg Super KIngs who'll be the happier team at the halfway stage. Back for the chase shortly..

Viljoen to Marco Jansen, no run, that's a corker, banged in short and at the right-hander - Marco Jansen had nowhere to go as he ducked under it, took his eyes off the ball and it did lob off something, a simple catch to the keeper and he's given OUT caught behind. But he's reviwed it immediately. The third umpire, Marais Erasmus, first checks with the back-foot and it's fine, it's come off his body and the original call is overturned. Excellent review and Jansen survives
