The players are out in the middle and we're set for the start of the Eliminator match. Remember, the winner goes on to face the Paarl Royals tomorrow while the loser is knocked out of this season's tournament.
The forecast looks OK for today, 60m and 64m square boundaries, 79m is the straight boundary. The altitude though plays a role with the batters looking to clear the boundaries. The wicket does look, there are a few cracks around, not much grass, there could be a bit of weather and there could be some swing with the new ball. Batting first, 180 could be a par score. Advantage batting second though, reckon Pommie Mbangwa and Chris Morris, in their pitch report.
A big match and JP King is making his debut for the Joburg Super Kings. He replaces Sibonelo Makhanya from the playing XI of the last game. We have made one change to our pre-toss expert XI. Have a look before you lock in your fantasy picks

Aiden Markram - Not too bad (on batting first), wasn't 100% certain, might've bowled first if we had won the toss, but we'll look to make the most of batting first. We haven't played a complete game as yet and this is a good time to start playing a full game of good cricket. We've been here before, we have played some crunch games, even this season, we were in a tough situation after having lost the toss, looking to make the most of the do-or-die situation, playing the same team.
Faf du Plessis - We will bowl first. We've had some injuries in our squad, but it has given some others a chance to make a name for themselves, Sipamla for example. We've just one change with the debutant coming in. Looks like a reasonably good wicket and that's the reason we're bowling first today.
Joburg Super Kings have won the toss and have opted to field
4:30 pm local: It's the eliminator and we're at the SuperSport Park for what should be a close contest between the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and the Joburg Super Kings. Sunrisers, the two-time winners and the defending champions. had a torrid start to this season's campaign and lost three on the bounce. However, they proved their mettle by winning 4 in a row, all by bonus points, to ensure that a place in the playoffs was never in doubt. On the other hand, the Super Kings, they've had an up and down time, they started well with two wins, but a washout halted their momentum and they slipped to three successive losses. However they crushed the Sunrisers at home to revive their campaign and eventually finished fourth, ahead of the Capitals and the Super Giants. While it's 1-1 for both teams in the head-to-head record this season, the conditions at the Super Sport Park means that Faf du Plessis's men would probably start as slight favourites.
