The players are making their way out to the middle. The sun is still beating down. All the talk has been how weird the pitch has been. Let's see how it goes.. The Super Kings have a huddle.
Pitch and Conditions: "The injuries to their pacers mean they are quite deliberately making it (the pitch) dry. Very dry and abrasive. When the weather is hot, the pitch is sticky, the ball holds to the surface. But when the air cools and the pitch cools, the ball comes on nicely," reckons Mark Butcher.
Bjorn Fortuin: He is back home recovering from a groin injury, he also became a dad today and congratulations to him. We have quite a few changes. Looks like a weird wicket, never seen this color before and whatever we do we have to put in a good performance.
Faf du Plessis: We will bowl first. The wicket here has been strange, not quite sure how it plays and it gets easier in the evening. Mo is not playing tonight. We are trying to work around the injuries this season. We haven't been great but at home we have been good, we have been unbeaten and that's the confidence we take into this game. Trying to get the best XI on the park has been a challenge for us.
