The two-time champions have had a horror start to the season this time around. With three losses from three games, they’re rooted to the bottom of the table and are left to pick up the pieces. The Capitals, despite having just one win, slingshot up to second place courtesy that bonus point. That’s it from us for now but don’t go too far, the second game of the day is coming up very shortly. Until then, take care and goodbye.
Rilee Rossouw: I thought we started very well with the ball. The experience of Livingstone at the end and for Ackerman to take us across the line was great. We wanted to take it deep, they played so well towards the end to get us that bonus point. The bowlers came up and performed, they put it in the right spots and asked questions. With this win, hopefully more people come out and support us. We want to represent them and win for them.
Aiden Markram: We would've bowled, still would've liked to think we're a better outfit than that, don't want to blame it on the toss. Not an ideal day for us. Very much a batting failure. Quite hard to point out the mistakes, it's how T20 works. Sometimes you're looking for form and the games come quick. I'm not a big fan of issuing directives and telling people how to play. We all know the basics. We're never ones to throw the towel in.
Eathan Bosch | Player of the Match: The surface was under covers for a couple of days, we were trying to assess conditions but I think we did well. Good to see the boys sticking to their straps.
16:12 Local Time, 14:12 GMT, 19:42 IST: Excellent day out in the office for the Pretoria Capitals. They bowled superbly earlier to restrict the Sunrisers to just 113 and then went out there to chase it down rather comfortably.
