Jake Fraser-McGurk: Happy with the way we turned up today. Everyone contributed today and hopefully a few results go our way. I just wanted to get off to a start, give the bowlers a charge early. Cricket is a game where you can have a terrible day but you are always just two shots away from turning things around. Hopefully we can qualify further, thanks to the fans for turning up today. Hopefully, we can keep performing for them this season.
20:09 Local Time, 09:09 GMT, 14:39 IST: Well, well, well.. the game started with Gades languishing at the bottom of the table and having only a mathematical possibility to enter the playoffs. They've jumped to number 4 now - they still need favours, they need the winner of the Strikers v Scorchers game to not leap them on net run-rate and then they need the Stars to lose tomorrow's game. It's out of their hands now, but they've given their home supporters plenty to cheer tonight. Josh Brown set-up this 197-run chase with a 11-ball 32, but the hero of the day was Jake Fraser-McGurk, under fire and short of runs this season, he lit up Docklands with a sensational 46-ball 95, he kept playing shots and he kept finding / clearing the boundaries. Brisbane Heat kept chipping away at the other end and they might've had hope when they dismissed both Mc-Gurk and Sutherland in the same over, but O'Neil's blistering cameo took the game away from their hands. We'll quickly switch across tabs and have the Strikers v Scorchers game. For now, cheers and bye..
