Steve Smith: Nice to have a couple of days at home just to fresh up. It's been a long summer, five Tests against India. Feeling good now, ready to get back into the white ball. I watched the boys' game the other night, that's probably as far as I have gone. Had a hit just now, hit 'em nice, ready to get back into it. There are plenty of tournaments around the world. My last (T20) game was in July. I love getting back around this group. Up against old rivals, it should be a beauty. I swing pretty hard, I can bring it down when needed. Looks like a dry surface, we need to adapt. Hopefully the new ball will skid on.
"Looks nice, even coverage of grass, the ball might under lights skids on a bit. Could be on the slower side. Might be even for both teams. Good to bat first," reckon David Warner and Brad Haddin.
