Raza to Saim Ayub, no run, tossed up around off, Ayub leans forward and pushes it towards cover
0.1
Raza to Saim Ayub, no run, fraction short and outside off, Ayub cuts and picks out cover-point
Saim Ayub and Shafique are at the crease. Saim Ayub is on strike. Raza will open the attack
The players are making their way out to the middle. Zimbabwe could not pick a single wicket in the previous game and will hope that's not the case today. Looks like Raza is going to open the attack. Interesting!
Pitch and Conditions: "There's a nice breeze across the ground which will keep the players fresh. The dimensions remain the same. It is properly baked, it has been sunny yesterday and sunny today. No moisture. The spinners, even finger spinners, will get purchase from this pitch. The batters will have to work hard for their runs. Runs on the board and put the opposition under pressure," Tino Mawoyo and Aamer Sohail.
We have made a couple of changes to our #FantasyHandbook team. Please do have a look at our updated team.
Teams:
Zimbabwe (Playing XI): Tadiwanashe Marumani, Joylord Gumbie, Dion Myers, Craig Ervine(c), Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Brian Bennett, Clive Madande(w), Faraz Akram, Richard Ngarava, Blessing Muzarabani
Pakistan (Playing XI): Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Rizwan(w/c), Agha Salman, Tayyab Tahir, Irfan Khan, Aamer Jamal, Haris Rauf, Faisal Akram, Abrar Ahmed
Craig Ervine: We probably would have bowled first. It has been quite hard to read the conditions. There was not a lot of cricket played in the last game, so the pitch won't change too much.
Mohammad Rizwan: We are going to bat first. The pitch is same as the last game and it might become difficult in the second innings. The way we are giving chances to young talent as we keep an eye on the Champions Trophy.
Pakistan have won the toss and have opted to bat
08:30 Local Time, 06:30 GMT, 12:00 IST: After being stunned in the first ODI, Pakistan gave a strong riposte in the second as they registered a thumping 10-wicket win. Abrar Ahmed and Saim Ayub were the stars of the show. The mystery spinner made his debut and bamboozled a clueless looking Zimbabwe batting line-up while the left-handed opener blasted his maiden ODI ton. The visitors have to keep up with that performance as the series is still on the line and they wouldn't want another embarrassing series loss this year. Zimbabwe started the series with a bang but could not replicate the same in the second game. Their maiden concern has not been Pakistan's pacers but the spinners, Agha Salman has picked up 6 wickets in 2 games and Abrar had a 4-fer on debut. So, if they're to challenge Pakistan and record a famous series win then they need to come up with better plans against the turning ball. The toss and teams for the decider should be out soon. Stay tuned..
