The national anthems are done. Samson started the series with a bang but has got out in the first over in the previous two games. Can he change that today?
Both teams are unchanged. But we have made one change to our pre-toss Expert XI. You can check that out by going to Fantasy Handbook
Teams:
South Africa (Playing XI): Ryan Rickelton, Reeza Hendricks, Aiden Markram(c), Tristan Stubbs, Heinrich Klaasen(w), David Miller, Marco Jansen, Gerald Coetzee, Andile Simelane, Keshav Maharaj, Lutho Sipamla
India (Playing XI): Sanju Samson(w), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav(c), Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy
Aiden Markram: We weren't sure.
India have won the toss and have opted to bat
Suryakumar Yadav: We are going to bat first. We have been doing that well in the last 2-3 games and we want to stick to that. The plan has been clear from the first game. Putting runs on the board and defending is something we have been wanting to do. It is a quick turnaround, one day gap between the games but the boys are professionals.
India have won the toss and have opted to bat
Pitch and Conditions: "It has been a slightly cooler day in Johannesburg. We are in the centre of the square. We have a decent hit straight, 86 meters, the square boundaries - 62 and 66 meters. It looks really good. Usually the pitches here have no grass and cracks but we are devoid of that today. There's a decent covering of grass. No cracks. It is going to carry through nicely and the ball will come on. It is a kind of pitch where you go after the bowlers then you can put some jitters," inform Natalie Germanos and Shaun Pollock.
16:00 Local Time, 14:00 GMT, 19:30 IST: India have found heroes in every game. Sanju Samson scored a hundred in the first, Varun Chakravarthy picked a 5-fer in the second and Tilak Varma notched up his maiden T20I ton in the third. It has been a good series for them and one they would like to finish on a winning note. Since they lead the series 2-1 and have no chance of losing, it might be a good opportunity to hand more debuts, probably Yash Dayal coming in for Arshdeep. South Africa haven't been at their best in this format since the World Cup final. They were whitewashed by the West Indies, drew the series against Ireland and trail 1-2 here. The batting has not been consistent while the bowling lacked discipline. Aiden Markram has won all three tosses in the series but have failed to chase scores twice. Will he try to bat first today? Or is it SKY's lucky day and he wins the toss for a change? We shall find out as the toss and team news isn't far away. Stay tuned..
