Matthew Potts: In terms of difficulty, it was hard work. Had to go to different plans. Good to lead the attack with the Durham boys. It's about seizing moments in the game, that partnership (between Ayub and Ghulam) was difficult to break, genius from Stokes to have seen something. (On England not reviewing a caught-behind call against Ghulam) There was a decent noise, a couple of guys in the covers - Crawley and Stokes - heard something but the keeper and the slips hadn't heard anything. (On the Durham players in the England team) They seem pretty good. Carse, the newest from Durham, a good production line. I see the game in the balance at the moment.
Pitch Report | Nasser Hussain: Cooler and cloudier morning. The sun has had an impact on the cracks. There are cracks all over. Yesterday was much more watchable than the first day of the first Test. There are areas which have started to crumble. Lateral movement with the spin, there was a lot more reverse swing yesterday. When you play on a day seven pitch, it just dies on you. The ball was bouncing 3 or 4 times before going to Jamie Smith. If Pakistan get to 350, they won't be worried about the uneven bounce.
A couple of early wickets will put England in a good position. Can Pakistan's lower order bat long? Will the pitch start to behave differently? They made a plethora of changes coming into this Test and one of them clicked instantly with Ghulam registering a century on debut. Will the others work as well? Let's find out. Action isn't too far away.
09:30 Local Time, 04:30 GMT, 10:00 IST: Hello everyone and a warm welcome to the second day's play of the second Test between Pakistan and England. One could say that this is a seventh day deck as the first Test was also played on the same pitch. When Leach removed Shafique and Masood in the first hour of play, Pakistan would have been under immense pressure. That's when Kamran Ghulam and Saim Ayub forged a crucial partnership to keep the visitors at bay. It was tough work for batters as well as bowlers due to low bounce and slow turn. England didn't offer too many freebies and Stokes's funky field placement ensured that Pakistan couldn't score freely.
