The umpires are making their way out to the middle. Looks pretty hot and humid which will make the first hour very important because whoever wins that will decide how long they will be out in the field.
Revised playing conditions for today: First session - 9:45am to 12:00pm. Second session: 12:40pm to 2:55pm. Third session: 3:15pm to 5:15pm.
09:15 Local Time, 04:15 GMT, 09:45 IST -- Day 2: It is bright and sunny in Rawalpindi this morning and we should have a prompt start unlike yesterday. Pakistan were put into bat and they lost their first 3 wickets for 16 runs. The ball was nipping around and Bangladesh's pacers made the most of it. But a 98-run partnership between Saim Ayub and Saud Shakeel got the hosts back into the game. Ayub battles through the tough period and got his first Test fifty while Shakeel showed why he's Pakistan's most in-form batter. Hasan Mahmud broke the stand towards the fag end of the day but Rizwan came out and ensured no more wickets are lost. What does day 2 have in store for us? Will there be the same kind of assistance for the pacers like day 1? We shall find out as live action is not far away..
18:29 Local Time, 13:29 GMT, 18:59 IST -- Stumps: The light has deteriorated and the umpires have called it off with a minute left for the scheduled close. Overnight rains delayed the start of the Test but we did manage to get in almost half a day's play. Bangladesh won a good toss as the pitch was under covers for a lot of time and there was assistance for the fast bowlers early on. Shoriful and Mahmud picked up three early wickets and put Pakistan under pressure. Shakeel joined Ayub and the pair managed to steady the innings. They did not buckle down and instead batted with intent to keep the scoreboard ticking. Ayub reached his maiden Test fifty and threw it away right after the drinks break, but Shakeel has carried on and has started to stitch another partnership with Rizwan. Day 2 is set-up nicely and hopefully we get an on time start which is 09:45 local. See you all tomorrow. Goodbye!

Full pitcher around off, Shakeel is drawn into the drive and he plays that sans moving his feet, gets a thick outside edge and fortunately it goes right in the gap
