Ujjwal: What would happen if Oualifier 1 or Eliminator gets washed out? Because the weather of Ahmedabad isn't really good. -- Playoffs do have a reserve day. Extra time of 120 minutes (60 minutes for league games) is first available to finish the game on the scheduled match day. If that is not possible then game goes to reserve day.

Pradip: This IPL season has been more than just winning games. Yes, NRR has been a crucial factor in the points table. Currently, 4 teams with 14 points but only RCB qualified. Similar situation here today, if the game doesn't happen due to rain, SRH will be 2nd place sharing 17 points with RR. "nrr" beauty

Sandeep: It was quite disappointing to witness RR lose four games in a row. They should have qualified even before KKR but now are in a situation to face RCB in the eliminator. They did the same thing last year, losing 5 games in a row & messed up things. Hope they get a game and win tonight.
20:38 Local Time, 15:08 GMT: Good news. The rain has stopped now. Groundsmen in action to remove the covers.
20:30 Local Time, 15:00 GMT: We will start to lose overs now! Meanwhile, it's still drizzling in Guwahati.

20:00 Local Time, 14:30 GMT: "Still raining but the intensity has gone down enough for the groundsmen to start peeling away covers on either side of the square," updates Pratyush
19:48 Local Time, 14:18 GMT:
19:35 Local Time, 14:05 GMT: Uh-oh, rain has gotten heavier now!
Tom Kohler-Cadmore: (IPL experience) It's been absolutely mad, the atmosphere, the crowds. The kind of support we have been getting is amazing. For me spending a lot of time on the bench, being able to watch the cricket, I have learned so much and it's been an amazing experience. Hopefully we manage to get on a roll and get back to winning ways tonight. We had a great start and normally if you lose four in a row, then you might be struggling at the back end. But we have qualified and if we win tonight we are guaranteed a top-two. We are in a great position and hopefully we can get the ball rolling and get the confidence back. You always want to win every game you play. We are going out there tonight to win. We can't control what happens in the future, but we can kinda control what happens tonight - put in a good performance and then focus on the qualifiers. (Mood in the camp) I don't think you'd be able to tell that we've lost four in a row. Great spirit among the lads, everyone is really close and confident. We all have each others' backing. (On Riyan Parag) Very inspirational actually. I've followed his journey a little bit from afar. He's had a couple of tough years, he's had a lot of abuses and he's had a lot of people kind of hating on him. For him to be able to come out this year and show everyone actually how good he is, the performance, the pressure he was under ... to be able to do it, I think we are seeing a future star in the making. I am sure he'll play a lot for India.
19:14 Local Time, 13:44 GMT, 19:14 IST: SRH beat Punjab Kings to move to the second spot.
18:56 Local Time, 13:26 GMT, 18:56 IST: "Groundsmen covering the pitch here in Guwahati. Slight rain in the air," informs Pratyush Sinha, our correspondent from the stadium.
Avesh Khan: Just want to continue following the process. We have qualified already but we need to win one more. We want to focus on ourselves, not rely on other teams. Want to win today and get the momentum on our side after four defeats. We discussed that the set batters need to take the game deep and the bowlers should look to focus on every delivery, rather than thinking of completing four overs. The fielding unit have also been told to sharpen up, give their 100% and put in more effort. (On his performance) It has been a good season but I haven’t got as many wickets as I’d have liked. I’ve been doing different roles for this team. When Burger was playing for us, I wasn’t getting to bowl in the powerplay, but now I’ve been told to bowl in the powerplay. I’ve done well there and also at the death. I’ve been told to be prepared to be an all phase bowler. (On being reserve player for T20 World Cup) The prep for that hasn’t started yet. I’m not part of the squad but since it is T20, anything could happen since everyone plays a lot of cricket. I’ll keep preparing and try to rectify the mistakes there. During an IPL season, you don’t get to practice that much because the games are back-to-back.
