Right, the players and umpires are out there
Sikandar Raza: I was looking to bat first, it’s a used surface and it’s pretty dry as well.
Paul Stirling: We will bowl today, we try to get in some early inroads today. We got a fair idea of the conditions, we have brought in Graham Hume. The challenge for us to take a 1-0 lead in the series
Pitch report: There’s a bare patch in the spinner’s good length, it games them a target to bowl at. Just a little bit in it for both types of bowlers. Traditionally, teams like to chase here. I think a score around 285 would be competitive.

08:15 Local Time, 06:15 GMT, 11:45 IST: Hello and a warm welcome to our live coverage of the first match of the 3-match ODI series between Zimbabwe and Ireland at Harare. These two teams played out a closely fought T20I series a couple of days back. After having lost the first game, Ireland bounced back to win the final two games and clinched the series. Sikandar Raza was banned for the final two games following his on-field altercation with Josh Little and Curtis Campher in the first T20I. That seriously impacted the balance of the home side but the good thing for them is that he is back. Both teams have a good mix of experience and youth. These two sides have a neck-to-neck record in ODIs - both Zimbabwe and Ireland have won 8 games each while two games were no result and another being a tie. There’s forecast for rain during the course of the game but let’s hope it doesn’t play spoilsport. Stick around as toss and team lineups will be announced shortly...
