Travis Head: Back playing (pleased me the most), nice to be back with the boys. nice to contribute, nice to be back. It (hand) is going well, went well today, on track which is nice. Very good wicket, Davey and I forged that partnership, we tried to put as much pressure as we can, we were able to get away today, take our chances and then also go on and make a really big partnership to set that platform. 388 is a really good score. I felt, at the back end of my innings, it started to take a little bit more spin. They bowled really well, changed their pace.
Post Phillips' spell it was the turn of Santner who got rid of Marsh and Labuschagne in the space of 3 overs
14:09 local, 08:39 GMT, 14:09 IST: "The true sign of how good a wicket is - if the new batter comes in and they can find the middle of their bat straightaway as well, I got a suspicion that's gonna happen, It just looks like a incredibly true wicket. Yes, the batters are batting incredibly well. And that's the sign of how true this wicket is," former Australian opener Shane Watson, during his early commentary stint, beamed in joy during Australia's powerplay massacre. Warner continued from where he left off in the last game while Travis Head, on his return to cricket after 43 days, notched up a 59-ball hundred to offer Australia their best ever start (highest powerplay score) in the history of World Cups. Tom Latham tried all his main weapons with the ball, but to no avail. The Aussies were in no mood to relent. The introduction of Glenn Phillips, however, changed things for the Black Caps. He removed the dangerous trio of Warner, Head and Smith in the space of 10 overs. Not only did Phillips got wickets, but he was successful in arresting the momentum with plenty of dots while at it.
