Australia (Playing XI): Mitchell Marsh, David Warner, Steven Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis(w), Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins(c), Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood
Pat Cummins: We probably would have batted as well
Kusal Mendis: We will bat first
Toss time: Mendis calls heads and it comes down as heads...
Sri Lanka have won the toss and have opted to bat
Raj: India, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia in that order. Would love to see India vs New Zealand Finals. New Zealand trying to win it for first time, while India trying to break the NZ curse.
Pitch report: "68 metres on one side (of the square) and 69 on the other side, straight is 76 metres. There is a little bit of moisture on it, it is a little bit damp because they had these hessian mats on it, so it's just holding it together because it is a red soil and they don't want it to be too dry too early. There is a bit of grass as well," with inputs from Samuel Badree and Nasser Hussain.
Karthick: My prediction for semis are: India, South Africa, New Zealand & Australia. We can never write off champion teams like Australia just after 2 bad games. Expecting a victory from them today, Game on Aussies!
Daniyal Malik: Teams that are currently in top Four in points table will make it to semis i.e. India, New Zealand, South Africa and Pakistan.
Steven Smith: Not overthinking too much (about the two losses), we've played ourselves into a corner by two teams who have played really well. It's about coming into our own as soon as possible. We'll have to rectify a few things, take our chances and be consistent with both bat and ball. The ball nipped around a bit under lights (against South Africa here), it did get wet towards the end, so we can get a few runs towards the end if we bat well. We need to give ourselves a chance, bat well under the conditions and give ourselves an opportunity if dew comes in (if batting second). We need to assess the conditions well, play out the new ball and we do have quality in our team. Sri Lanka have been good themselves, they've some very good players, but if we stick to our process, we can do well.
Krishna: My semi-finalists are Ind, NZ, SA and Aus. I hope that SA will reach final this time and win this WC and get rid of the "chokers" tag.
Update about Travis Head: The opener has recovered earlier than expected and in the best case scenario, Australia are hoping that Head might be available for October 28 against Bangladesh,
Amit Katyal: India, NZ, SA and England. And Delhi has been surprisingly the best venue till now. Started with a run feast and then the upset yesterday. Amazing matches here so far.
Ashutosh Gautam: My Predictions for semis are - India, New Zealand, England, and Australia.
Australia, as usual, will outplay in the rest of the tournament.
Raghu: My semifinalists are India, New Zealand, South Africa and England.
Suraj: India, NZ, SA, Pak. And hoping for India vs Pak again at the Eden Gardens.
