Welcome back for the run chase folks! The Afghanistan players are gathered in a huddle as the Indian openers - Kishan and Rohit enter the field. Both of them were dismissed for ducks against Australia. Will they be able to open their account this time around? Let's find out! The second essay is on its way..
0/76 is also the joint most expensive spell for Siraj in ODIs. He had returned 0/76 from 10 overs on his debut against Australia at the Adelaide Oval in 2019.

Teams batting first have won five of the six ODIs in Delhi since 2013, the only exception being India’s seven-wicket win against South Africa last year, wherein the visitors had been bundled out for 99.

Highest target successfully chased in Delhi is 278 by India against Sri Lanka back in 1982. The only other successful 240-plus chase at the venue was by Sri Lanka against India in the 1996 World Cup (target: 272).

Omarzai: I am really happy having scored my first World Cup fifty. I'll try to carry this form into the next games. We lost early wickets, so we were trying to build a partnership. We were rotating the strike and tried to put the loose balls away. We tried to score around 300, but we lost wickets in the middle overs. We have good spinners in our team, so will try to defend this total.
18:00 Local Time, 12:30 GMT, 18:00 IST: Afghanistan will be happy with this score. But by no means it's anywhere near a match-winning score. Even though this pitch is not a road like the one South Africa-Sri Lanka was played on, it still is very good for batting.
