Roelof van der Merwe: We executed well tonight, kept them under pressure with our fielding as well. We were able to put the pressure on them. You got to look at match-ups and all those things I think Dutty bowled outstandingly at the top and gave us a good start. I think the pitch will get better for batting under lights, just need a stable start and we will be there at the end.

Bas de Leede was simply superb as he struck at crucial junctures to keep Pakistan in check. There was another crucial partnership between Shadab and Nawaz but they failed to go on till the end. Haris Rauf got 16 crucial runs at the end but Pakistan will still feel a touch disappointed with 286 and they've largely got themselves to blame. Their shot selection wasn't great and they failed to put the Netherlands under pressure. Meanwhile, the Netherlands were hot in the field and did very well to restrict Pakistan to this total. The wicket is pretty good, batting might even get slightly easier under lights and dew will be a key factor. The Netherlands might just be on the cusp of achieving something special here.
