They were 99/4 at the halfway stage and getting to 280+ seemed improbable, but Pandey, Manohar and Bhandage have given them a competitive total. The openers departed inside the powerplay, Nikin Jose and Shrijith steadied the ship but the duo fell in succession. Pandey and Manohar stitched a 89-run stand to get the innings back on track, then Bhandage arrived and gave the impetus required. The 6th wicket partnership was worth 95 and that is the reason Karnataka have this total on the board. Yesterday 293 was more than enough for Haryana to defend on this same ground.
