Jos Buttler - We would have bowled first as well. New series, the World Cup is 6 months away, so time to finetune for combinations. We've to find a few things, playing both Rashid and Rehan for the first time together, excited to see them together.

Rovman Powell - We will bowl first. Looks like a good surface, will try and restrict them. We have 6 specialists batters, we've the all-rounders, one spinner and a premier pacer in Alzarri Joseph. It's an important series with the World Cup in 6 months, it provides an opportunity to test ourselves.

It's time now for the shortest format of the game as the two teams begin their 2024 WC preparation with a 5-match T20i series, starting tonight at the Kensington Oval. With very few matches at hand, both teams will be looking to use these games to get their combinations right. As a first move, West Indies have welcomed back Andre Russell, who returns to the international arena after a 2-year hiatus.
