The T20I World Cup 2024 is almost here, with fans buzzing with excitement. The first match kicks off on June 2, 2024, and the finals are set for June 29. Over the course of the month-long tournament, 20 teams will compete, but only one will emerge as the champion.
To ensure fair play, skilled umpires and officials are needed to oversee each match. In this article, The Sporting News reviews the list of umpires selected for the ICC T20I World Cup 2024.
List of all Umpires in T20I World Cup 2024
India's Jayaraman Madangopal and Nitin Menon, both highly respected umpires with extensive experience in the Indian Premier League, have been selected to officiate in the T20I World Cup. Other top umpires on the list include Australia's Rod Tucker and Sri Lanka's Kumara Dharmasena.
In total, 20 umpires will oversee the 55 matches of the tournament. The group includes two from India, three from Australia, four from England, and two from New Zealand, among others.
Shahid Saikat will make history as the first umpire from Bangladesh to officiate at the T20 World Cup.
